Corazon Films UK presents  BUS STOP

Bus Stop

ALI RAHMOUNI 27, a Berber, is enjoying a new found freedom in Paris despite working illegally and without resident papers. He is thrilled by both the anonymity of life in a Western capital and his relationship with Spanish girlfriend RUTH, but still surrounds himself with relatives and friends from his natal region – Kabylia, North East Algeria

But France and Algeria are changing – mirroring the huge shift in global attitudes towards immigration, Islam and terrorism and Ali finds himself hanging on to his freedom by a fragile thread. As disaster strikes in his family and events in both countries close in on him, he is forced to return to his village where he has to become the ‘good son’. Will he ever be able to return to Europe – and at what price ?
